Wilma “Jean” Clifford, age 88, of Quinlan passed away June 12, 2022 surrounded by her loving family. Jean was born on January 20, 1934 in Carey, TX to Muriel and Earnest McIlroy. Jean married the love her of her life, Bob, on February 18, 1961 in Pampa, Texas.
Jean was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. She loved her family and there is nothing she wouldn’t do for them. She worked for over 35 years at Boles Children’s Home. After retiring from full time work, she continue to work in the daycare for the mother/child program part time. She was an avid reader. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
Jean was a faithful member of the Quinlan church of Christ.
Jean is survived by her daughter Cathy of Rowlett; sons, Randy of Quinlan and Mike of Lewisville; grandchildren Ben (Shauna) Clifford, Samantha (Nick) Morgan, Kristi Clifford, Kim (Robert) King and grandson-in-law Robby Cox; great-grandchildren Sydney and Riley Cox, Hunter and Locklynn Clifford, Aubrey and Alex King and Jaxon Morgan; sister Pat Lee of Grisham, OR; brother Richard Moore of Amarillo, TX; brother-in-law Fred Clifford of Clarendon, TX. In addition, she is survived by several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband Bob, her precious granddaughter Amy Cox, her mother Muriel and Step-father James "Ott" Moore.
Visitation will be Thursday, June 16, 2022 from 6-8 and funeral services are Friday June 17, 2022 at 11:00 at Quinlan Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, the family ask for donations to Arms of Hope in Jean’s memory.
