William Doyle Arnold, a retired carpenter of Quinlan, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, February 4, 2025 at the age of 86. Doyle was born December 8, 1938 in Hunt County, Texas to Jesse and Dolly Arnold. He attended Stringtown Community School. Doyle married Verda on May 20, 1959. Together, they had five children. He owned and operated his own construction company, Arnold's Construction.
Doyle loved fishing, building things, working in the garden, camping, and taking care of his chickens, but most of all he loved his family and friends.
Doyle is survived by Verda, his wife of 65 years; children, Anna and Lindy Roberts of Quinlan, David and Wendy Arnold of Quinlan, Cindy Smith of Quinlan, Kim Arnold of Wills Point; thirteen grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; brothers, Walter Arnold, Curtis Arnold; sisters, Sue Lewis, Pam Beavers.
Doyle was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse and Dolly Arnold; brothers, Earl Arnold, Melvin Arnold, Charles Ray Arnold; sister, Ellen Moffitt; daughter, Willie Mae Richardson.
Visitation will take place at Crossroads Assembly of God Church in Greenville, Texas on Friday, February 7, 2025 at 1:00 PM with the funeral service at 2:00. Graveside will follow at Dry Creek Cemetery on Highway 34 in Quinlan. Pastor Lance Simpson will be officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be David Arnold, Chris Arnold, Benji Arnold, Lee Reynolds, James Kennemer, and Lindy Roberts.
