W.A. Hightower

W.A. Hightower, 88, passed away on March 29, 2014 in Cumby. He was born on April 22, 1925 to his loving parents Harry and Mary Hightower in Hunt County.

Those left to celebrate his life include his daughters; Marie Bloyed and husband Johnny of Cumby, Jean Moffitt and husband David of Point, and Teresa Ferguson and husband James of Greenville, grandchildren; Tammy White, Johnene Bloyed, Asa Bloyed, Shawn Bloyed, Danny Moffitt, Cindy Underhill, Cammie Northcutt, Jacinda Ferguson, Christina Ferguson and Justin Ferguson, seventeen great grandchildren, his brother, Dennis Ray Hightower of Terrell, as well as numerous nephews, extended family and friends.

W.A. is preceded in death by his wife of thirty-three years, Ruby Hightower, his grandson, Johnny William Bloyed, his brother, Jack Hightower, and his parents, Harry and Mary Hightower.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. at Quinlan Funeral Home. Interment will immediately follow the service at IOOF Cemetery in Quinlan. A time of visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 1, 2014 from 6:00 " 8:00 p.m. also at the funeral home.

The family ask that in lieu of flowers that donations be made to IOOF Cemetery in Quinlan and tothe Cancer Society.
