W. H. Wilson, 89, resident of Quinlan, passed away on Friday, February 4, 2011 in the peace of his home. He was born on November 21, 1921 in Grand Saline, the son of Joe B. and Belle (Miller) Wilson. He married Maurita King on March 27, 1952 in Dallas. He was an auto mechanic for the City of Dallas, worked for American Decal before his retiring and drove a school bus for QISD. He belonged to the Oak Cliff Masonic Lodge number 705. He served his country in WWII in the U.S. Army. He is survived by his wife; daughter, Lois Rich and her husband Johnny of Royse City; son, Dewain Wilson and his wife Sue of Quinlan; sister, Arvalene Conner of Mesquite; seven grandchildren, eleven Great grandchildren and ten great-great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, one brother, two sisters, and great-great grandchild, Caleb Judd May. His funeral service was Monday, February 07, at 1:00 PM in the funeral home chapel with Brother Bob Ferguson officiating. Burial followed the service in Lone Star Cemetery in Point. All arrangements were made through Quinlan Funeral Home.
