Tommie Jean Stibbens, 83 of Quinlan, Texas passed away at here home on October 1, 2014. Tommie was born on September 18, 1931 to Thomas and Ola Mae Yarbrough in Wichita Falls, Texas. She would meet and later marry James Stibbens, Sr. on August 18, 1950 in Willbarger County Texas. Tommie would work for over 30 years as an assembly worker at Taylor Publishing Company. Tommie Jean is preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Ola Mae Yarbrough; her husband, James Stibbens, Sr.; sisters, Juanita Calhoun, Sarah Stibbens, Joann Logan; grandchildren, Shawn and Sabrina Stibbens and great-grandchild, Amber Chambers. Those left to celebrate her life include her son, James Stibbens, Jr. and his wife June; daughters, Rama Farmer and her husband Anthony, Debra K Gabbard and Tim Broeder; grandchildren, Anthony Farmer, Jr. and Leah Crawford, Tammey King and her husband Danny, Tonya Rollins and her husband Tim, Beverly Gibson and her husband Philip, Timothy Gossett and his wife Stephanie, Charles Shelly, Joann Fouse, Sherie Simpson, Leslie Short and his wife April, Mandy Short, Erica Yanger and her husband Julian; her "very special great-grandson", Kobe Yanger; thirty-seven great-grandchildren; eight great-great grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews, extended family, friends and neighbors. A celebration of Tommie Jean's life will be held on Monday, October 13, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. She will be inurned with her husband, James, Sr. at Lakeside Memorial Park at a later date.
