Tom Roberts

Tom Roberts, 82, of Rockwall passed away on April 10, 2018 surrounded by his loving family. Tom was born on May 28, 1935 in Marthasville, LA. He graduated from Pleasant Hill High School in Marthasville. He married Gloria Dean Brewer on May 28, 1977 in Quinlan, Texas. Tom was a truck driver for Halco for many years and was a life member of the American Legion and the Amvets. He knew how to tell people how to get anywhere the fastest way. He loved fish fry's, friends, family, his beer and cigarettes. He was a resident of West Tawakoni for 35 years and then moved to Rockwall with his granddaughter and her husband who took care of him. Tom is reunited in heaven with his wife, Gloria and his mother, Pauline McCaskill. His family members who are cherishing the memories of his life are his children, Vickie Morris and Randy Henson; grandchildren, Randy Joe Henson, Brian Pevehouse, Stephanie Markham; Cregg Henson, Miranda Henson; and Michelle Garris; and several great grandchildren. There will be a public visitation with Tom's family at Quinlan Funeral Home on Saturday, April 14, 2018 starting at 12:00 pm until 1:45 pm. His graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm at Quinlan IOOF cemetery with his granddaughter, Stephanie Markham providing the eulogy and Joe Henson, Cregg Henson, Brian Pevehouse, Kasey Markham, Freddie Shoemaker, and Ryan Shoemaker serving as pallbearers.
