Terri was born in Greenville, Texas on January 31, 1980 to Terry and Nancy Burns. She grew up in Royse City, Texas, where she also lived most of her adult life. She graduated from Royse City High School in 1998. After high school, she was employed for several years in the medical office and medical billing field. She married George Chapin on May 5, 2018 in Mabank, Texas. She was a resident of Caddo Mills at the time of her death.

Terri is survived by her husband, George; father, Terry Burns of Alba; brothers, Casey burns and wife, Cindy of Mountain Home, Idaho, Kelly Burns and wife, Ashley of Como, Michael Burns of Frisco, Jeff Burns and wife, Monica of Greenville; many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles, and an army of friends who loved her. She was preceded in death by her mother.

T-Gale, as she was known to her family and friends, was not only the youngest of five children, but she was also the only daughter. Growing up, T-Gale thought her older brothers hung the moon. As a young adult, her brothers remained her close friends, even though friends were never in short supply for her. She was always surrounded by friends, everywhere she went. She loved her friends like family, and she loved her family immensely. She had a beautiful spirit that she poured out to everyone around her. She loved to laugh and wanted everyone around her to laugh with her. Her smile was beautiful and infectious. She was kind, caring, and fiercely loyal to those she loved.
