Sherry Farris Butler, 66 of West Tawakoni, passed away on Wednesday, January 7, 2015 in Rowlett, Texas. Sherry was born on July 22, 1948 in Dallas, Texas. Sherry loved life and lived it to the fullest. She worked for many years as the manager of the Ladies Apparel Department at Wal-Mart. She was a devoted mother; loving grandmother; excellent cook and extremely talented artist. Sherry was very creative. She enjoyed drawing, painting, quilting, crafts, writing poetry and was even a closet cartoonist. Sherry was an awesome cook as well. Sherry loved Elvis; but her greatest passion was her family. She loved to spend time with her children and grandchildren. He infectious smile, wicked sense of humor will truly be missed. Sherry is preceded in death by her mother, Ozelle Conway; her brother, Jimmy Giles; husband Richard Butler. Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Kenneth Crenshaw, Jr.; daughters, Veronica Wortman, Sherron Bridges and her husband R.C.; grandchildren, Denice Neighbours and her husband Jake, Rikki Wortman, Cody Crenshaw, Emi'lee Crenshaw, William Bowen, Taylor Green and her husband Josh; great-grandson, James Green; father, Edward Conway, Sr.; brothers, Ronnie Giles, Sr. and his wife Mary, Edward Conway, Jr.; sister, Rachel Tidwell; as well as numerous extended family, friends and neighbors. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Friday, January 9, 2015 from 600 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. A funeral service will be held the following day, Saturday, January 10, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. also at the funeral home.
