Robert Henderson, Jr.

Robert William Henderson, 87: passed away at his home in Quinlan, Texas on April 12, 2013. Robert was the son of Robert W. Sr. and Lee Henderson. He was born on November 23, 1925 in Fort Worth, Texas. Bob met and later married Diadra "Dee" Belt in 1982. Bob was a businessman with a true entrepreneurial spirit. He was always looking for opportunities or a business venture that interested him. Over the years he has owned and operated several businesses both here and in the Dallas Metropolitan area. Bob has been an active member of the business community of Quinlan and the Lake area for the past 25 years; operating Discount Motors, Parkway Motors and the Duck Cove Marina at various times. Bob also loved fishing; but his greatest passion was his family. he relished his roles as husband, father and grandfather. He will truly be missed. Bob is preceded in death by his parents, Robert Sr. and Lee; as well as his sister Frances Watson. He is survived by his wife, Dee; daughters, Kimi Hardesty and Kelly McNair; grandchildren, Wesley Smith and his wife Ashley, Melissa Plumblee and her husband Craig, Allye McNair, Robby Hardesty and Elizabeth "Lizzie" Hardesty; great-grandchildren, Carter Plumblee and Sam Smith; brother B. W. Henderson M.D.; as well as numerous nieces and nephews, extended family, friends and neighbors. A funeral service will be held on Sunday, April 14, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. A gathering of family and friends will be held the same day, Sunday, April 14, 2013 at 1:00 p.m., an hour before the service. Interment will be at Lakeside Memorial Park immediately following the service.
