Ricky Cotten

Ricky Cotten, 64, passed away Tuesday, November 27, 2012 in Dallas, Texas. Ricky was born to Alvin and Sylvia Cotten on February 26, 1948 in Dallas, Texas. He met and later married Elizabeth Russell. To this union was born four sons; Jason, Travis, Mathew, and Graham. Ricky met and later married Cyndi Daniels on September 20, 1997 in Carrollton, Texas. Rick served his country honorably in the United States Army during the Vietnam Conflict. He owned his own business as a heating and air conditioning subcontractor. Ricky is preceded in death by his mother, Sylvia. Those left to celebrate his life include his wife, Cyndi; sons Jason Cotten, Travis Cotten, Mathew Cotten, and Graham Cotten; three stepsons, Joey Schaefers, Tim Schaefers and Justin Schaefers; grandson, Truitt Taylor; father, Alvin Cotten; brother, Craig Cotten and his wife Amy; sister Angela Morris and her husband Jimmy; as well as numerous nieces and nephews; friends and neighbors. He was one of a kind and will truly be missed. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Saturday, December 1, 2012 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. A funeral service will be held that same day at 1:00 p.m. also at the funeral home. Interment will immediately follow the service at the IOOF Cemetery in Quinlan, Texas. Reverend Jim Leach and Reverend Leon McManus will officiate.
