Raymond Dean Davis, 65 of Quinlan, passed away on Saturday, May 23, 2015 at his home surrounded by his family. Raymond was born June 15, 1949 to R.B and Laverne Davis in Dallas, Texas. Raymond would met and later married Creda Winters on June 15, 1967 - Raymond's 18th birthday - in Quinlan Texas. Raymond worked construction and drove truck all of his professional life. He rose to the position of site superintendent with Chase General Contractors. Raymond loved old cars, fishing whenever he could and grilling outside. He enjoyed being outdoors. But Raymond's greatest passion, was his family. Raymond adored Creda - his wife of 47 years. He loved spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. His was a compassionate heart and giving spirit that will truly be missed by all who knew and loved him. Raymond is preceded in death by his parents, R. B. and Laverne Davis; brother Bobby Davis; sister, Johnene Wall and son James Davis. Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Cleda Davis; children, Melissa Klimmer and her husband John, Buddy Davis; grandchildren, Misty Martinez, Matt Story and his wife Tiffany, Declan Klimmer and Conall Klimmer; great-grandchildren, Katelyn Martinez, Davis Martinez, Haylee Martinez, Kali Martinez, Elliott Story and Avery Story; brother, Gene Davis and his wife Patsy; sisters, Joan Nowlin and her husband Denny, Kathie White and her husband Fred; as well as numerous extended family, friends and neighbors. A celebration of Raymond's life is to be scheduled at a later time.
