Randy Joe Cole

Randy Joe Cole, age 72, of Sulphur Springs passed away Monday, January 13, 2025 in Denton. Randy was born March 5, 1952 in Sulphur Springs, Texas to Reggie Carl and Lillie Mae (Lawson) Cole. After graduating high school, he began his career as a truck driver. He was like a road map--he could give you directions to anywhere you wanted to go from all his years of driving a truck.

Randy loved his family and was very close to his siblings, nieces and nephews. They fondly remember him coming to visit every weekend and holidays. He especially loved Christmas time because he loved a good fruit cake.

He loved watching sports and westerns. One of his favorites to watch was NASCAR racing and football. Randy was kind of quiet until you got to know him but once you became his friend you were a friend for life.

Randy is survived by his sister Helen Winstead, several nieces and nephews and many great nieces and nephews. He also had a longtime friend Gerald Flournoy. He was proceeded in death by his parents, Carl and Lillie Mae Cole; twin sisters Mary and Martha Cole; sister Eloise Goldsmith; and brother Charles Cole.
