Opal Hobbs

Opal Mae Hobbs, 88, of Big Sandy, TX passed away on December 12th in Gilmer, TX. She was born on January 31, 1923 to Louis and Susie Shguit in Ferris, TX. She married her husband, Johnnie Defoe Hobbs in 1938. She was a loving wife and mother who lived to serve her family as a homemaker. Her children who are remembering her are her sons, Sammy Defoe Hobbs and Joe Glenn Hobbs and her daughters, Janice May King and Jannell Sue Smith. She also has 13 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and 13 great-great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents and husband. Her service will be 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 14, 2011 at Quinlan Funeral Home and laid to rest at Lakeside Memorial following the service.
