Nyoka Elaine (Ketron) Ruff, 73, of Quinlan, passed away on April 23, 2016 at her residence. Visitation with the family will be Tuesday evening from 6:00pm to 8:00pm in the Quinlan Funeral Home Chapel. A service will held be on Wednesday morning at 12:00pm in the chapel. Burial will be at the Ables Springs cemetery following the service.
Nyoka "Granny" was born in Dallas, Texas on August 28, 1942 to Albert Perry Ketron and Margie Marie Thompson. She was a factory worker for many years but first and foremost she was a loving mother and friend to everyone who knew her. She married Edward Joe Ruff on October 7, 1957 in Durant, OK. She was a member of Living Waters Church and an Associate of Power of Prayer on Facebook.
Those left to cherish her memories are, her husband Edward Joe Ruff; their children Edward Ruff, Jr. of Plano, Jacquie Ruff and her husband Donnie Davis of Quinlan, Adrian Ruff and his wife Sissy of Terrell, Tommie Briggs and her husband John of Greenville, Terry Green and his wife Cleta of Quinlan. Granny and Joe also fostered many other children as if they were their own. Their grandchildren are Cecily Nevale, Mattie Ruff, Sarah Ruff, Austin Ruff, Jennifer Wascom, David Hughes and Kasey, Jeremy Hughes and Heather, Jason Hughes and Nicole, Victoria Broussard and Dalton, Destini Davis, Tracy Little Higgons and husband Everette, Steven Davis, Elizabeth Bailey, Joe Ruff, Adrian Ruff and wife Toni, James Truss, Billy Truss, Andy Truss, Katelynn Truss and Rafael, Jacob Lively, Erica Green, Jimmy Don Rasberry, and Theresa Green.. She also has 27 great grandchildren. She has two sisters Teresa Guthrie and her husband Rupert, and Darlene Minshew, and a brother John Ketron and his wife Jackie. She is preceded in death by her parents and a brother Bud Ketron.
