Michael Leroy Lunghofer

Michael Leroy Lunghofer, an expert mechanic who resided in Kaufman County, Texas, passed away on Sunday, February 2, 2025.

Mike is survived by his daughter, Jessica Lee Dyann Nichols; granddaughter, Serenity Nevaeh Yates; and sister, Deborah Jeanette Randles.

Mike was preceded in death by his wife, Deborah Jo Lunghofer; mother, Billie Louise Thomas; father, Gerald Robert Lunghofer; sisters, Denice Alynn "Dee Dee" Rucker and Patricia Janice "Tunie" Amundson.

Mike was born on April 16, 1960 to mother Billie Louise Thomas and father Gerald Robert Lunghofer. He worked as a self-employed mechanic for all his life. Mike was married to Deborah Jo Wheeler and had only one child, Jessica Lee Dyann. Mike was a dedicated father and grandfather who loved to fish on his boat. Mike will be be buried after cremation at his residence with his wife and his fur kids, Smokey Lee and Biggins.

Funeral service for Michael Leroy Lunghofer will be held at Peters Funeral Home in Greenville, Texas on Monday, February 10, 2025 at 4:00 pm. Visitation will take place all day Monday up until the time of the service.
