Max Doyle Holcomb

Max Doyle Holcomb, 96, of Burrow, Texas passed away peacefully on Monday, September 30, 2024 in Frisco, Texas. Max was born on June 4, 1928. He was a member of maritime service of World War II, and was retired from Bell Helicopter. He married Lyllian Ford on April 4, 1947, and they shared over 71 years of marriage.

Max is survived by his children, Chris Holcomb and wife Leahsa, Kaylar Page and husband Larry, Holly Thaxton and husband Wayne; grandchildren, Azur Williams, Justin Holcomb, Candice Smith, Crysti Shelton, and Tony Thaxton; great-grandchildren, Lyllian Williams, Davis Williams, Oliver Max Williams, Taylor Holcomb, Nathan Holcomb, Nicholas Holcomb, Davis Smith, Simon Smith, Payton Delp, Layla Heaton, Camrynn Thaxton, and Clara Thaxton; and his dog and cat, Click and Snowball.

Max was preceded in death by his wife Lyllian.

Max had requested a special “thank you” to be added for his daughter Kaylar. He was so grateful for her support and help regarding day to day matters, both personal and business related, including all of the personal care she contributed to. “I could not have done it without you.”

Graveside service will be held at Restland Cemetery in Dallas, Texas on Saturday, October 5, 2024 at 11:00 am.
