Maurita C. "Rita" Wilson, 90, passed away on Friday, July 19, 2013 in Royse City, Texas. Maurita was born July 31, 1922 to Dan and Myrtle King in Point, Texas. She would meet and later marry the love of her life, W.H. Wilson in 1952. Maurita worked for many years as an accountant for the City of Dallas before opening her own accounting and bookkeeping firm. Maurita operated M&L Accounting for many years before retiring. Maurita was a member of the Eastern Star, loved fishing, square-dancing and traveling. But her greatest passion was her family. Maurita loved to spend time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. These were her greatest joy. Her open heart and inviting smile will truly be missed. Maurita is preceded in death by her parents, Dan and Myrtle; sister, Mary Patton; brothers Grady King and Vernon King; son-in-law Johnny Rich; great-grandson, Ed Peveto; great-great grandson Caleb May and her beloved husband W.H. Those left to celebrate her life include her son; Dewain Wilson and his wife Sue; daughter, Lois Rich; seven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; sixteen great-great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews, extended family, friends and neighbors. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Monday, July 22, 2013 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. A funeral service will be held the following day, Tuesday, July 23, 2013 at 10:00 a.m., also at the funeral home. Interment will immediately follow the service at Lone Star Cemetery in Point, Texas.
