Lorie Marez

Lorie Ann Marez, 51 of Terrell, went to be with her Lord on the morning of Aug. 22, 2019.

A memorial service will take place at First Baptist Church of Terrell on Monday, Aug. 26, 2019, at 10:30 a.m. A celebration of life will be held at the Ables Springs Fire Department at 6:30 p.m.

Lorie was born Oct. 4, 1967, in Wolfe City. She married her best friend, partner in crime and soulmate, Armando R. Marez Jr., on July 16, 1983. Together, they raised three boys, Bradley; Armando III; and Brandon, building 36 years of memories.

Lorie was a spitfire and told everyone just what she thought. Her humor and wit were two of the many great qualities we all loved about her. Her indomitable spirit encouraged her sons and sister, Amanda, whom she regarded as one of her own children, to persist in the face of many struggles.

Lorie is now reunited with her little sister, Michelle; her Papa Billy; grandma Ruby; and Big Granny.

Keeping her memory alive are her husband, Armando Jr.; sons, Bradley; Armando III and his wife, KK; and Brandon and his wife, Amanda K.; mother, Brenda; brother, Allen and his wife, Donna; sister, Amanda and her wife, Alissa; along with numerous nieces; nephews; grandchildren; and a host of friends.
