Linda Perley

Linda Kay Perley, 58, of Terrell passed away on Tuesday, May 12, 2015 in Dallas, Texas. Linda was born on January 14, 1957 to Wagner and Emma Newton in Dallas, Texas. Linda met Dennis Perley and later married him in Greensburg, Kansas in 1978. Linda was a homemaker who created a loving and safe environment for her husband and children. Linda also worked outside the home for the Terrell ISD as a cafeteria manager for over twenty years. Linda was one of those gentle spirits and compassionate hearts who loved people. Her smile was infectious and her laugh was contagious. She is someone who will truly be missed by all who knew her. Linda is preceded in death by her father, Wagner Newton; brother, Jimmy Newton and grandchild, Caiden Kirby. Those left to celebrate Linda's life include her husband, Dennis Perley; children, Dennis Perley II and his wife Stacy, LaDena Perley, Belinda Dickens and her husband Cecil, Jamie Newton, Leonard Perley, Rachel Perley, Carolyn McCary and her husband Jerry, Tina Varner and her husband Billy, Edith Brand and her husband Charles, Dennise Parker and her husband Richard; thirty-three grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; twelve great-great grandchildren; mother, Emma Messer; step-mother, Betty Sue Newton; brothers, Steve Newton and his wife Cheri and William Messer; sister Mary Newton; as well as numerous extended family, friends and neighbors. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Friday, May 15, 2015 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. A funeral service will be held the following day, Saturday, May 16, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. also at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made in Linda's name to St. Jude Hospital Children's Fund.
