Lillie Ray

Lillie Irene Ray, 84, passed away on Thursday, March 19, 2015 in Greenville, Texas. Lillie was born on October 1, 1930 to Albert and Velma Lee Miller in Oklahoma. Lillie met and later married Travis Ray in Greenville, Texas. To this union were born two sons, Terry Dean and Roger Dale. Lillie worked for many years in the food services and catering industry; first at Silver Leaves Health and Rehabilitation in Dallas and later the Piccadilly Cafeteria in Garland. Lillie was a devout and blessed follower of Jesus Christ and a member of the New Light House of Prayer in Greenville. Lillie is preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Velma lee Miller; her husband, Travis Ray; sons, Terry and Roger Ray; brothers, Elbert Miller, Grady Miller, James Miller; sister Grace Lilly. Those left to celebrate her memory include her granddaughter, Angie Cassidy; great-granddaughters, Sydney and Serena Cassidy; sister, Helen Graves; as well as numerous nieces and nephews, friends and neighbors. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Monday, March 23, 2015 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. A funeral service will be held the following day, Tuesday, March 24, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. also at the funeral home. The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in Lillie's name to the New Light House of Prayer in Greenville, Texas.
