Joyce Long

Joyce Eleanor Jensen Long, 89, of Greenville passed away Friday, April 8, 2016 in Greenville. Memorial service will be scheduled at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Quinlan Funeral Home.

Joyce was born April 23, 1926 in Morristown, NJ to Harold Jensen and Helen Swisher Jensen. She graduated high school and then went on to Graduate Valedictorian from Cedar Crest College in Allentown, PA. Joyce worked in the library at SMU and later retired from Texas Power and Light. She was a member of the Northway Christian Church in Dallas and she loved to volunteer at the Lighthouse for the Blind.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter Patricia McQuagge and husband Rick of Point; grandchildren Jonathan Allen, and Anthony Allen both of Garland; great grandchild Elliot Allen; sisters Janet Smith and husband Frank of Advance, NC, and Jean Brenner.
