John Kinzie Griffin, 72, resident of Mabank, passed away on Wednesday, February 23, 2011 in Athens. He was born on August 18, 1938 in Cherokee, OK, the son of William Kinzie and Leota Mable (Sanders) Griffin. He was a machinist for Otis Engineering before his retiring. He is survived by his wife, Cynthia Griffin; two daughters, Jana Kay Saxton of Dallas and Lisa Monique Davidson and her husband Bobby of The Colony; two sons, Jeffery Robert Griffin and his wife Suzanne of Carrollton and Scott Kinzie Griffin and his wife Heather of The Colony; 12 grandchildren and numerous other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents and a granddaughter, Samantha Griffin. All arrangements were made through Quinlan Funeral Home.
