Jo Ann Hickson

Jo Ann Brown Hickson, age 86, passed away on Wednesday, December 25, 2024 in Tyler. Jo Ann was born December 14, 1938 in Knox City, Texas to Stella Mae Hickson and Richard Almond Brown. She was a lifelong resident of Edgewood, though had recently been residing in Grand Saline. She married Loyd Hickson on December 23, 1950 in Dallas. Jo Ann was retired after serving as a nurse's aide for many years, and she enjoyed reading in her free time.

She is survived by her children, Carolyn Hughes of Forney, Sue Salisbury and husband Gary of Grand Saline, Mike Hickson and wife Christy of Wills Point, Loyd Hickson, Jr. of Wills Point, and Patricia Sanner of Grand Prairie; fifteen grandchildren, thirty-eight great-grandchildren, twenty-four great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Jo Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Loyd Hickson; children, Ricky Hickson, Kaye Maynard, and Linda Humphries; as well as her parents, sisters, and brothers.
