Jimmy Phifer

Jim Phifer, 77, of Wills Point passed away on December 12, 2018 in Dallas. He was born on November 30, 1941 in Mt. Pleasant, the son of Fred and Ruth (Compton) Phifer. He married Bonnie Mae Book on April 5, 1961. He was a city building inspector for many years before retiring.

Jim is preceded in his death by his parents, Fred and Ruth Phifer; his wife Bonnie Phifer; grandchild, Madison McElwee; sisters, Margie Smithson and Virginia McMichael.

Jim’s family members who are cherishing the memories of his life are his children, Vickie Wilson, Cathy Zinzalet, Daniel Phifer and his wife Stella, and Kimberly Horn; grandchildren, Rachel, Matthew, Michael, Amber, Brittany, Christopher, Bonnie Mae, Jennifer, Scott, and Chris; great grandchildren, Christian, Dakota, Maricella, Laycee, Aislynn, Aydena, Karson, Logan, Josie, Landon, Rylee, Rosie, and Charlie; sister, Imogene Sandford and her husband Billy; brother, Freddie Wayne Phifer and his wife Linda; other relatives, and friends.

His memorial service will be held at 3 pm on Wednesday, January 9, 2019 in the Chapel of Quinlan Funeral Home with Brother David Hammond officiating.
