Jimmy Don Joslin of Caddo Mills, Tx passed peacefully with family by his side on March 14, 2025 at the age of 84.
Jimmy Don is survived by wife Nellie Watson-Joslin; daughters Wendy Mann and husband Shawn, Jami Joslin, and brother Jerry Lynn Joslin; grandchildren Sean Daniel Joslin and Keaton Lee Fields; great-granddaughter Macy Marie Joslin; as well as several nieces and nephews. He is proceeded in death by father Jimmy Elvin Joslin, mother Nelly Faye Joslin, son Jimmy Lee Joslin, sister Nelda Sue Pierce, grandparents Jim Daniel and Mary Lee Joslin and Alda B. and Annie Bell Bench.
Jimmy Don was born on May 15, 1940 in Mexico, Texas to Jimmy Elvin and Nelly Faye Joslin. He graduated from Royse City High School and began his career as a paint contractor followed by a short career as a police officer for the City of Caddo Mills, as well as holding a title as a 32nd Degree Mason with the Royse City Masonic Lodge #663 in Royse City, Texas.
Jimmy Don married Nellie Watson on November 14, 2017 in Greenville, Texas.
Jimmy Don enjoyed cooking and spending time with his family, fishing, watching old westerns, taking local road trips with Nellie and Wendy, and going out to eat. And he loved to cut up and laugh. Jimmy Don was loved by many and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Funeral services will be held March 19, 2025 at 2:00 pm with visitation starting at 1:00pm at Peters Funeral Home in Greenville, Texas with Pastor Johnny Lovett officiating. Interment will be at Quinlan I.O.O.F Cemetery in Quinlan, Texas. Flowers or condolences can be made to Peters Funeral Home.
