Jeanette Day

Ethel Jeanette Day, 77, passed away at her home in Colorado Springs, Colorado on Friday, November 20, 2015. Jeanette was born to Luther and May Shapley on December 17, 1937 in Blevins, Arkansas. She married Harmon Day and they made their home in the Dallas area for many years; retiring to the Lake Tawakoni area. Jeanette worked for over 55 years at Rotex Industries working her way up to supervisor before her retirement. Jeanette was a loving wife, sister, aunt and friend. Her infectious smile and compassionate heart will truly be missed by all who knew her.

Jeanette is preceded in death by her parents, Luther and May Shapley; her husband, Harmon Day; her sister Adelaide Shapley.

Those left to cherish her memory include her sister, Betty Vanderwoude; niece, Karen Neveling (David); great niece, Kimberly Gilpin (Jesus Cazares), grand nephew, Justin Gilpin.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Wednesday, November 25, 2015 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at Quinlan Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held the same day, November 25, 2015 at 12:00 pm also at the funeral home. The interment will immediately follow the service at Lakeside Memorial Park in Quinlan.
