Jay Eugene Parish, 80, of Lone Oak passed away on May 17, 2017 in Lone Oak. He was born on June 15, 1936 in Camden County, MO to the parents Otto and Burleigh Mable (Byler) Parish. Jay served his country by serving in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He married Virginia Spann on January 16, 1981 in Wylie, TX.
He is preceded in his death by his wife, Virginia who passed away on April 10, 2010; his parents, Otto and Burleigh Parish; one brother, Jimmy Parish; and one sister, Janice Jones.
He is survived by five daughters, Burleigh McCune and her husband Jim, Jacki Branch and her husband Sedric, Jane Grewell, Barbara Jones, Kimberly Parish; two sons, Jay Parish Jr., and Kenneth Calvert and his wife Janice; 25 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Joyce Hearndon; and two brothers, Joe Parish and his wife Doris, and Otto Paris Jr. and his wife Glenda.
His burial will take place on Friday, May 19, 2017 at 1:00 PM in Donelton Cemetery in Lone Oak, TX. Honorary Pallbearers are Freddie Hood, Ray Young, Tyler Bolin, Jordan Bolin-Branch, Jim McCune and Charles Wood. His memorial service will take place on June 10, 2017 at Roaring River, Cassville, MO.
