James Paul Tillman

A Celebration of Life for James Paul Tillman, age 69, of Quinlan will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, June 10, 2023 at V.F.W. Post 4011 Greenville, TX with Chaplain Mike Middlebrooks officiating. James Tillman passed away on Tuesday, May 30, 2023 in Quinlan.

James was born on July 17, 1953 in Houston, Texas to Charles and Audie Marie (King) Tillman. He married Cynthia Jones Tillman May 9, 2022 in Quinlan. James worked in maintenance, and he enjoyed fishing, sitting on his front porch at the lake, and watching the Dallas Cowboys.

He is survived by his wife, Cynthia Tillman of Quinlan; sisters, Debra Tweety Hawes of Greenville, Marti Pageler and husband, Chris of Crystal Beach; brother, Larry Dale Tillman and wife, Tracy of South Sulphur; daughter, Katy Tillman of Farmersville; stepson, Johnny Miller of Felton, Delaware; grandchildren, Shane Tillman of Greenville, Colton Martin and wife, Carmen of Greenville, Bret Miller of Felton, Delaware; great-granddaughter, Clarice Renea Ann Martin; nephew, Stephen Escalante and wife, Janelle, Justin Tillman, Chris Tillman; nieces, Chasity Martin, Alex Schnell; great-niece, Haley Escalante; and his beloved dogs, Amy, Marco, Rusty, Marshall, Ginger, and Charlie.

James was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Audie Marie Tillman; and nephew, Michael Escalante.
