James Sanders

James Edgar Sanders, 82, of Garland, passed away on Wednesday, April 13, 2011 surrounded by his loving family. He was born on September 16, 1928, in Columbia, LA, the son of Grady and Rebecca (Mitchell) Sanders. He was employed with Austin Paving before his retiring. He is survived by his two sons, James Ronald Sanders and his wife Pam of Garland, Gary Sanders of Wylie; one daughter, Barbara Kendall of Wylie; five grandchildren, Ronny, Charlie, Jennifer, Gary Jr., and Cody; seven great grandchildren, Brianna, Evan, Emily, Andrew, Charley, Daniel, and Dylan; three brothers, Gerald Sanders of West Monroe, LA, Billie Sanders of Monroe, LA, John Sanders of MS; one sister, Carolyn Sue sanders of Monroe, LA; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. He is preceded in his death by his parents; daughter, Donna Lynn Sanders; three sisters, Vera, Thelma, and Aline; two brothers, G.J. and Paul; one son-in-law, Robert Kendall. His funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 16, 2001 at 4:00 PM in the chapel of Quinlan Funeral Home with Brother Dickson Rial officiating. Burial will follow the service at Hooker Cemetery. Visitation with the family is planned for Friday night from 6:00 to 8:00 at the funeral home. The family request that memorial be made in honor of James to the American Diabetes Association.
