James Alvin Ramsey

James Ramsey, retired from Garland ISD and resident of Quinlan, Texas passed away in Rockwall on January 16, 2025 at the age of 81.

James is survived by his wife, Peggy; two sisters and three brothers; daughter, Regina of Quinlan; son-in-law, Daniel; one grandson, Justin; and two great-grandchildren, Chloe and Cooper.

He was preceded in death by his son, James, and one brother, Bobby.

James was born in Sulphur Springs, Texas to J.A. and Amar Ramsey. He married his bride, Peggy, in Dallas County. James would help anyone who needed his help. James will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

The visitation for James will be Monday, January 20, 2025 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Peters Funeral Home in Greenville. The funeral will be held on Tuesday, January 21, 2025 at 10:00 am at Peters Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Dry Creek Cemetery.
