James McKeage, 74, of Quinlan, passed away on Wednesday, April 29, 2015 in Greenville, Texas. James was born on September 28, 1940 to James F. and Christel McKaege in Corsicana Texas. James and his family moved to Dallas when he about 3 and settled in the Oak Cliff area of town. They attended Bethel Temple, where James accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior at very early age. James graduated from Sunset High School in 1959. He continued his education at the University of Texas at Arlington where he completed a Bachelor's degree. James worked in art and design for Plastic Manufacturing Company in Dallas for over twenty-five years. He later started Jemco Sign Company and moved to Quinlan. James continued work in the signage industry for several move years. His work can be seen all over the Lakes communities. James was a member of the First Assembly Church of Quinlan. James is preceded in death by his parents, James F. and Christel McKaege. Those left to cherish his memory include his son, Craig Keener; daughters, Rhonda Upchurch, Teresa Taylor and James; grandchildren, Zanna, Benjamin, Jeremy, Matthew, Joshua, Jason, Justin, Jennifer; numerous great-grandchildren; sister Judith; as well as numerous extended family, friends and neighbors. A graveside service will be held on Friday, May 1, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at Lakeside memorial Park in Quinlan.
