Edna Johnson

Edna Johnson, 89, of Garland passed away Wednesday, March 18, 2015 at her residence in Garland. Funeral service will be 11:00am Saturday, March 21, 2015 at Quinlan Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Darryl Hall of Lifewell Church in Garland, officiating. Burial will follow at Simmons Cemetery under the direction of Quinlan Funeral Home. Family visitation is scheduled from 7:00pm until 9:00pm Friday, March 20, 2015 at Quinlan Funeral Home. Edna was born November 29, 1925 in Hunt County to Albro Austin Browning and Vera Evelyn Freeman Browning. She married Samuel Carl George Johnson January 18, 1946 in Greenville, Texas. She worked for many years at the Garland Independent School District in the food service. Edna is survived by her son Samuel Austin Johnson and wife Mary of Garland; daughters Donna Marie Pryor and husband Tony of Garland and Linda Carol Johnson of Ft. Worth; six grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren and one great great grandchild; sisters Ellen Rose Howard and Anna Lou Jordan. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two sons Billy Johnson and Rickey Johnson, two sisters Opel Blanton and Nella Christian and one brother Austin Browning.
