Edgar Wayne Duke II

Edgar Wayne Duke II, age 62, of West Tawakoni passed away on Saturday, January 7, 2023 in Greenville. Mr. Duke was born on December 13, 1960 in Dallas, Texas to Edgar Wayne Duke I and Chesta Darlene (Dilts) Duke. He had been with his loving wife, Anita Denton Duke, for over eight years.

Wayne, also known as Chinky in his younger years, was a journeyman electrician and a pool contractor. He loved to fish and be at the lake, and cook his BBQ ribs that everyone loved. He loved to help others with whatever might come along, working on cars, remodels, or giving others money to help them out. In his younger years he loved to race and go to the races with his dad Wayne and his uncle Terry.

Wayne is survived by his wife, Anita Denton Duke; sisters, Chesta Peters and husband, Stephen of Gun Barrell, Jackie Mixson and husband, Tim of Quinlan, Sandra Wilson and husband, Brian of Greenville; nephew Tim Mixson and Ashley, niece Tiana Lozano and husband, James, nephew Toby Mixson, nieces, Cassie and Shelby Wilson; great-niece Christina, great-nephew, Ruger Lozano; stepson, VC Holbrock, step-children, Elizabeth of Ohio, Kriston of Ohio, Jennifer of Indiana; and many friends, cousins, aunts, and uncles.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Edgar and Chesta Duke; grandparents, JH and Mary Duke, and Chester and Pauline Diltes; aunts and uncles.
