Dovie Coats

Dovie Ilene Coats, 73, of Point passed away Wednesday, January 27, 2021 in Tyler. Dovie was born on February 13, 1947 in Dallas, Texas, the daughter of Ralph Robertson and Helen Robertson.

Dovie is preceded in her death by her parents, Ralph and Helen Robertson; son, Teddy Wayne; one sister, and five brothers.

Dovie is survived by her daughter, Luckey Kirkpatrick; son, Frankie Dell Coats, Jr.; sister, Mary Cozad and her husband Bobby; grandchildren, Mandy, Chloe, Shayla, and Lucus; and numerous great grandchildren.

There will be a visitation with her family on Monday at 1:00 PM at the Point Church of Christ. Her funeral service will be at 2:00 PM with Pastor Richard Kellam officiating. Interment will follow the service in the Donelton Cemetery with Bobby Cozad, Rodney Cozad, Tommy Robertson, Thomas Mathews, Jackie Rhodes and Sam Robertson surviving as pallbearers.
