Doris Fitzgerald

Doris Kay Fitzgerald, 46, of West Tawakoni, Texas passed away on Monday, December 8, 2014 in Greenville, Texas. Doris was born on June 2, 1968 to Porter and Joyce Belcher in Kaufman, Texas. Doris would take a Bachelor's degree and work as a drafting engineer for Marlow Industries for twenty-seven years. Doris would meet and later marry Will Fitzgerald on April 22, 1995 in Alba Golden, Texas. Their romance would last the next nineteen years. They would have one son, Chase - who would always be the light of Doris' eyes. Doris was very active in the Quinlan-Tawakoni communities. She was a member of PAC; Secretary of the Ford High School Fishing Team; Assistant Tournament Director for the Tawakoni Bass Club. Doris was very active in her community supporting events and activities; but her greatest passion was her family. Doris loved her husband and son. She worked tirelessly to create a warm and loving home for them. Her infectious smile and warm heart will truly be missed by all who knew her. Doris is preceded in death by her sister-in-law, Doris Deanna Fitzgerald and grandparents, Jimmie and Hazel Langford. Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Will Fitzgerald and her son, Chase Fitzgerald; the two most important men in her life; father, Porter Belcher and his wife Teresa; mother Joyce Langford; brother, Jason Belcher; sister Theresa Waters; Doris' "daughter", Kaileigh Austin; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family friends and neighbors. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Thursday, December 11, 2014 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. A funeral service celebrating Doris' life will be held the following day, Friday, December 12, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church, 1555 Quinlan Parkway, Quinlan, Texas. Interment at Elm Cemetery will immediately follow the service.
