The family of Don Allen Gibbs, 54, mourns the death of a special father, husband, loving son, brother, and grandfather. He passed away August 23, 2013 in Grayson County. He was born September 14, 1958 in Greenville, Texas to Olan and Mildred Gibbs. Don was the youngest of eight children and was raised in Quinlan, Texas where he attended school. On February 12, 1998 he married Kelli Inman and resided in Pilot Point, Texas. Don had a love for racing. He spent much of his life at the dirt track weather it was racing himself or in the pits working on cars for other family members or friends. If there was a race or a Dallas Cowboys game on TV, you always knew where to find him. He was a special father to son Brandon Gibbs of Dallas, Texas; Dee Anna Tiemann of Wylie, Texas, Jaci Clearman of Sanger, Texas and Lauren Clearman of Casper, Wyoming. Don was a proud grandfather to Mason and Ella Moore, and Mia Clearman. He is also survived by his siblings Brenda Moore of Sanger, Texas; David Gibbs and wife Sue of Quinlan, Texas; Carolyn Odom of Yantis, Texas; Sue Harper and husband Gary of Denton, Texas; Martin Gibbs and wife Cathy of Quinlan, Texas; LuJuana Kegel of Point, Texas; Montra Land and husband Phillip of Point, Texas Don was a much loved uncle to numerous nieces and nephews and many cousins. He was preceded in death by his son Bradley Allen Gibbs; father Olan Gibbs; mother Mildred Corman; and his grandparents. Pallbearers will be Michael Gibbs, David Gibbs, Gordon McQuien, Kyle Robinson, Doug Kruger, Tony Batt, Greg Kruger and Floyd Lawson. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 28, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Quinlan Funeral Home. Interment will immediately follow the service at Royse City Cemetery. A time of visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 27, 2013 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. also at the funeral home.
