Derryl Bryant Alexander, 57, passed away at his residence on Saturday, July 26, 2014. Derryl was born on September 3, 1956 to Johnny and Virginia Alexander in Littlefield, Texas. Derryl served his country with distinction in the United States Armed Forces. He would meet and later marry Gwen Boyles. Derryl received a Bachelor's degree from VTI and worked as a computer technician. Derryl was a collector of dragon paraphernalia; as well as a motorcycle and car enthusiast. But his greatest passion was his family. He loved spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren. His big heart and giving spirit will truly be missed by all who knew him and loved him. As Derryl begins his new journey of spiritual awakening, those left to celebrate his life include his wife Gwen; son Phillip Alexander and his wife Missy; daughters, Christina Alexander and Tanya McKee; grandchildren, Anthony Alexander, Cleo Alexander, Nichole Alexander, Corbin Alexander, Bobby Jefferies, Stormy Steelman, Destiny Steelman and Brooklyn Berry; parents, Johnny and Virginia Alexander; brother, James Alexander; sister Theresa Leigh; as well numerous extended family, friends and neighbors. A celebration of Derryl's life will be held on September 6, 2014 from 12:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the Care Center Ministries 2500 VZCR 3810, Wills Point, Texas. This celebration is "pot luck" and BYOB. The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to family to help with Derryl's final expenses.
