Danny Edwards

Funeral service for Danny Roy Edwards, 65, of Point will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, May 7, 2022 at Ridin’ High Cowboy Church in Royse City with Steve Bishop officiating. Peyton Thrapp, Matt Stroud, Michael Stroud, Royce Waldron, Ryan Allen, Jerry Fuller, Robert Montalvo, and Phil Schmitt will serve as pallbearers. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Lake Fork Memorial Cemetery in Alba. Danny passed away on Monday, May 2, 2022 in Dallas.

Danny was born December 13, 1956 in Mt. Pleasant, Texas to Eugene and Ruby (Ferguson) Edwards. He married Carla Allen August 8, 1975 in Mt. Pleasant. He was the owner of a metal fabrication company until his retirement in 2014. Danny enjoyed fishing, golfing, and landscaping.

He is survived by his wife, Carla; sister, Cathy McGonagill and husband, Dale; daughter, Marci Thrapp; grandchildren, Peyton Thrapp and wife, Hannah, Rylie Waldron and husband, Royce; great grandchildren, Braelynn Thrapp, and Wrenlee Waldron.

Danny was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Ruby Edwards; and sister, Nancy Stroud.
