Obituary of Clinton Jobe Shaw Clinton Jobe Shaw, 88, passed away peacefully Friday, July 23 at home on Lake Tawakoni. He was born on December 29, 1921 in McCoy. He graduated in 1941 from Wills Point and began his pest control career working for Abel Exterminating. Clinton entered the Navy, stationed on the USS Metcalf # 595, from 1942 to 1946 and then returned to Dallas to work for Dallas Pest Control. Clinton was owner of Protex Service, Inc. from 1959 to 1973 and was still working part time until his passing. Clinton is preceded in his death by his wife of 60 years, Doris Shaw; his parents, Charles and Maggie Shaw. He is survived by his brother, Doug Shaw and his wife Bill of Rowlett; sister, Mariana Christie of Seguin; son, Doug Maer of Greenville; grandchildren, Damon Maer and his wife Amanda and Doug Maer; great granddaughter, Cora Elizabeth Maer of North Carolina; numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Mr. Shaw never met a stranger and knew everybodys first and last name. Special thanks to Sandy Madden and other neighbors and friends that helped in the time of need. Mr. Shaws funeral service, under the direction of Quinlan Funeral Home, will be Tuesday, July 27, in the funeral home chapel at 10 am with Brother David Hammond officiating. His burial will follow the service at White Rose Cemetery in Wills Point. Visitation with the family will be Monday night from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.
