Clarence Dail Batchelor of Quinlan Texas, passed away on Saturday, October 4, 2014 at his residence surrounded by his family. Clarence was born January 31, 1940 to Thomas and Eva Batchelor in DeKalb, Texas on January 31, 1940. Clarence went on to serve his country with honor in the United States Army and National Guard. Clarence would meet and marry Barbara Hamby on June 23, 1960. Clarence worked as a produce supervisor for J. C. Combs and Save Mart. Clarence is survived by his wife, Barbara Batchelor; sons, Jimmy Dan Batchelor and his wife Mindy, Jimmy Dale Batchelor and his wife Antoinette, Jason Batchelor; daughters, Theresa Holley and her husband James, Deborah Pickar and her husband Edward; grandchildren, Barbara Timberlake and her husband Alan, Solana Batchelor, Victor Holley, Sr. and his wife Jennifer; as well as numerous nieces and nephews, extended family , friends and neighbors. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Monday, October 6, 2014 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. A funeral service will held the following day, Tuesday, October 7, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. also at the funeral home. Brother Lonnie Erwin will officiate. Interment will immediately follow the service at Lakeside Memorial Park.
