Charles Cleva Watson was born March 22, 1934, he passed from this life on May 10, 2012. Charles served his county in the United Sates Army from 1954 through 1957. Charles was one of 14 children born to Jesse Bain Watson and Lillian Lucy Smith Watson. He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and two sisters. Charles is survived by his wife of 55 years Wanda Watson; sons Danny Glenn Rinehart and wife Jessica of Chandler, David Hoffman of Lovelady; brothers, Jurl Wayne Watson and his wife Vickie of Big Springs, Ronnie David and wife Molly of Grand Prairie, Harvell Glen and wife Pat of Red Oak, and Tommy Dean and wife Wendy of Irving; sisters, Ola Mae Russell of Dallas, Thelma Winchester and husband Benny of Lake Tawakoni, and Eva Lou Haney and husband Luke of Grand Prairie; grandchildren, "the light of his life" and numerous nieces and nephews. Charles loved his grandkids unconditionally. He held a special place for his granddaughter Victoria, who he called "Tori Mae". She doted on him as well. Kids always held a special place in his heart and he would have adopted the world had he been allowed to. Charles in his life had been a truck driver and a very popular caterer in Grand Prairie. Charles loved his family, and his extended family which included his in-laws. He had a very special relationship with his in-law family. He raised them, and they raised him. He always had room in his life for his in-law siblings, and felt as close to them as his own family. Throughout his life there was one or more of them living with them or being helped by him. He always had one or more of them living with them or being helped by him. He always felt that the youngest four were part his and would have moved the earth or them. A gathering of family and friends will be held in the Chapel at Quinlan Funeral Home Sunday evening from 6-8 pm. Funeral services will be held Monday morning May 14, 2012 at 10 am in the Chapel at Quinlan Funeral Home.
