Obituary for Charles Glen Stewart Charles Glen Stewart, 77, of Quinlan, passed away on February 11, 2011 in the peace of his home. Glen was born on March 15, 1933 in Merit, the son of Jack and Lura (Patterson) Stewart. He married Marion Frances Carlton on December 24, 1982 in Quinlan. He worked for the City of Terrell in park maintenance before his retirement. Glen was an active member of the Masonic Lodge #441 in Garland, and an avid horseman and breeder in Hunt County. His love for horses, children, and the people he helped will never be forgotten. He was preceded in his death by his parents; son, Randal Stewart; his sister Joyce Bayse; brothers, William Stewart, Harold Stewart and Patrick Stewart. Mr. Stewart is survived by his wife; two daughters, Elaine Sloan and her husband Dr. Butch Sloan of Rowlett and Lisa Jo Scott and her husband Jimmy Marks of Garland; stepchildren, Rebecca Lucas and her husband Steven Raney of Weaver, Marie James of Oregon, Sonya Cragin and her husband Edward of Monroe, GA; sisters, Syble Jones of Emory, Leta Mae Rabe of Emory and Judy Cecil of Garland; brother Jo Don Stewart of Lone Oak; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. His celebration of life is set for 11:00 am Saturday, February 26, 2011 at the Old 34 Arena in Quinlan with Brother Eldridge officiating.
