Carl Lee Shipp, resident of Terrell, passed away on Tuesday, April 27, 2010 in Terrell. His visitation is Thursday, April 29 from 6-8 PM at Quinlan Funeral Home. His Funeral Service is Friday, April 30, 2:00 PM at Faith Baptist Church. Mr. Shipp was born on May 5, 1927 in Emory, the son of George Quincy Shipp and Christine Day Shipp. He is survived by his, wife, of 35 years, Edgelene Shipp; five daughters, Kay Freeman and husband Joe of Grapevine, Connie Foretich of Commerce, Carla Scalf of Richardson, Carolyn Porter and husband John of Terrell, Loreita Taber and husband Lester of Tulsa; three sons, Doug Shipp and wife Donna of Garland, Roger Shipp of Rockwall, Phillip Cockrell and wife Lila of Texarkana; two brothers, John Shipp, Darman Shipp; five sisters, Audrey Judge, Zadie Luckett, Dorothy House, Shirley Baley, Aletta Hurley; twenty one grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren; one great great grand child. thirty one Nieces and nephews . He is preceded inn death by his father and mother; brother, Doyle Shipp.
