Funeral service for Brooklyn Marie Covington, age 6, of Quinlan will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, December 2, 2021 at Quinlan Funeral Home. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 1, 2021 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Brooklyn passed away on Saturday, November 27, 2021 in Greenville.

Brooklyn was born December 10, 2014 in Greenville, Texas to Derek James and Amber Carter Covington. She loved L.O.L. toys, chocolate milk, Happy Meals, wearing clothes too big for her, and getting dirty. Her favorite color was blue. Brooklyn was a happy-go-lucky child that loved everybody she met, and everybody loved her.

She is survived by her mother, Amber Covington; stepfather, Dakoda Flemings; brother, Steven Xavier Covington; sisters, Taryn Nickole Covington, Kylie Faith King, Elaine Grace King; grandparents, “Nana” Faye Marlene Carter and “Papa” Michael T. Carter, “Mimi” Julie Ann Covington and “Papa Mike” Michael James Covington; grandpa, Chris Manseau; aunts, Nina A. Deweese, Jennifer McCateer; uncles, Michael S. Carter and wife, Jessica, Michael J. Covington and wife, Mary, Tyler W. Covington and wife, Cait; and numerous members of her extended family.
