Betty Alexander

Betty Jean Alexander, 78, of Quinlan, Texas passed away on October 23, 2015 in Leander, Texas. Betty was born on March 24, 1937 to William Roy Jackson and Mary Ben Buchanan Jackson in Morganfield, Kentucky. She married Perry Wayne Alexander in Dallas, Texas in 1969 and together they loved and raised nine children. Betty was a loving sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She captured everyone's heart with her infectious smile and contagious laugh. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Betty was preceded in death by her father and mother, Bill and Mary Jackson; husband, Perry Alexander; brothers James L. Jackson, Lemuel (David) Jackson, Darrell (Doug) Jackson, Carl Thomas Jackson, and Larry (Bubba) Jackson. Those left to celebrate Betty's life include her children, Benny Quertermous, Danny Quertermous, Janice Quertermous, Becky Ellis, Buddy Alexander, Randy Alexander, Perry Joe Alexander, Pamela Evans, Brenda Hinson and her husband Blake; sisters Alma (Sis) Timmons, Judy and her husband Lynn Sellars, Peggy Benavides, Mary Florence; sisters-in-law Linda Jackson and Sarah Jackson; her grandchildren; great-grandchildren; as well as numerous other family and friends. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Wednesday, October 26, 2015 from 12:00 p.m. to 2 p.m. at the funeral home. A funeral service will be held the same day at 2:00 p.m. also at the funeral home. Services are under the direction of Quinlan Funeral Home, Quinlan, Texas.
