Bessie Diaz

Funeral service for Bessie Diaz, age 89, of Farmersville, Texas will be held at 3:30 P.M. on Sunday, June 27, 2021, at the Quinlan Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow at Lakeside Memorial Park at 8930 Hwy 34 S. Quinlan Texas, with Chris Phipps - Diaz, Jason Diaz, Rudy Diaz, Matt Diaz, Micheal Phipps-Diaz, and Leo Garduno serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be held from 1:00 -2:00 P.M., Sunday June 27, 2021, at the Quinlan Funeral Home Chapel. Mrs. Diaz passed away on June 24, 2021, at Farmersville Health and Rehab in Farmersville Texas.

Bessie was born on January 15, 1932, in Big Springs Texas to George and Gregoria Sotelo Villalba. She married Leandro Diaz, in Big Spring Texas. He preceded her in death on May 21, 2020. Bessie loved fishing, bingo, casinos and cooking for her kids and is of the Catholic faith. Bessie also worked as a private duty nurse.

She is survived by her son; Richard Diaz and wife Barbara Diaz, Rudy Diaz and wife Teresa, Albert Diaz, nine grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren.

Bessie was preceded in death by, her husband and daughter, Sandra Reyes.
